Route:
Naga City, Camarines Sur, Bicol Region down past Mt. Mayon thru Ligao, Guinobatan, Camalig, Legaspi and up the hill to Daraga, Albay.
Notes:
I had six other men join me today from Naga for whole day and they took train going home. It took us some effort to sync our pacing together, but went fine.
I probably gave away 60 stickers and SEVEN Bibles today! We finished at the iconic white lettering LEGASPI sign at the wharf and parted ways.
My last kms were over 10kms of uphill to my housing location.
I bought backup extra tire for future purposes.
My next two official checkpoints are Matnog, Sorsogon tomorrow, and Tacloban, Leyte.. 🚴🔥

From: Daraga, Albay
Destination: Matnog Pier
Distance traveled today: 117.19kms
Total KM Traveled: 2,565.83
Route:
Daraga, Albay to Sorsogon City, to Casiguran, Irosin, and Matnog Pier.
Notes:
I had a co-worker (Sam) from Daraga join me to Sorsogon City. He had flat tire towards the end. He took jeepney back home, I continued on to Irosin and Matnog.
Check-in was easier and cheaper than car, for sure!
Sorsogon gets 1st Place for nicest highway, so far. Rolling hills. Up and down the whole way.
Received free water from refilling station. Met a lot of other bikers - over 20, I'm sure. Ferry departs after 8:00pm.
We should arrive in Samar by 12:00am midnight, maybe.
My next official checkpoint is in Tacloban, Leyte. I should arrive there in three days. 🚴🔥

Allen, N. Samar through Victoria, following coastal highway to Calbayog, Samar.
Notes:
Breakfast in downtown Allen was great. Many choices. Slight drizzle with water on the streets. After few hours, the sun came blazing out.
Normally, I perform okay in heat, but today, I couldn't rise above it. I did not recover well from yesterday. Had my first flat tire in Victoria, N. Samar. Fixed it fine. Small glass.
Later, I patched tube for backup later. I also bought extra tubes in Calbayog for future.
The road is good. Only few spots, but better than Lopez, Tagkawayan, and Ragay. Good job Samar. BIG BIG difference from 2007.
Friendly kids everywhere.
Staying at Calbayog City Lodge just to sleep, eat, fluid, admin and laundry.
Tomorrow, is Catbalogan target.

Notes:
Today was much stronger than yesterday. I think it's because of my recovery meal was better last night. I reached Calbalogan before noon, but had flat tire again. After fixing, I headed up massive climb departing Calbalogan.
Had a lot of mountain climbs today and the highway is very unfinished from Calbayog all the way to Calbiga. I had trouble finding a place to stay in Calbiga until I ran into a tour guide who took me around to different lodges that are un marked. I found one, but it was still full so i bargained to sleep in the parking lot, beside motorcycles, camping style for free. 🚴♂️✅
My next official checkpoint is in Tacloban, Leyte. I should arrive there tomorrow. 🚴🔥
