I had a terrible muscle recovery last night. Felt it all day today. My distance was still good for today, but I stopped early at 1500 to sleep early. I will ride out at 0330 tomorrow.
My goal is to reach Caticlan and cross over ferry to MINDORO by end of day tomorrow.
Relatively flat roads today. Great highways Iloilo and Capiz. Samar can learn much from you.
The Ilonggo language is interesting to listen to. Especially when it is young teenage girls ie. table at 7/11. Many sincere greetings, good mornings, waves, honks here in Iloilo and Capiz Province. MUCH MORE than Negros. Lots of bikers out today also.
As usual, gave away maybe 20+ stickers and four Bibles. This is land of batchoy.
Super hot day again. I might have little hole in front tire. Guaranteed, I will need to change tomorrow. Passed up seeing a fb friend from Roxas area, wanted at stop early, sleep early, and leave early bukas.
Lacking protein lately. I can tell. Laundry done. I do laundry every night.
1-4 pieces. Interviewed sugarcane truck owner today. One truck of cane makes 22, 50 kilo sacks of sugar. He makes two trips a day. Charges 10,000 per trip. Price includes workers who harvest and load truck. The sugar mill pays him every Monday for his deliveries all week (maybe 12). His truck is over 60 yrs old. Former US Army with Hercules engine. 🚚🚛🛻🪖
Caticlan Port crossing over to MINDORO, is my goal tomorrow the 11th. ✝️🚴♂️🚢🚴♂️🇵🇭

Notes:
Started at 0330am today at 7/11. Had my first flat tire in my room at 0200am (from last night) and again at 0400am on the highway, and a third time after Kalibo near 3:00pm. Bought new tire again in Kalibo and two inner tubes again. Stopped at vulcanizer to patch four tubes for backup.
I surprisingly had a sporty 12th grade female biker, named Faith, pull up behind me and ended up joining me over those first hills near Ibajay.
After her, I had another guy named Joseph, from Boracay, join me for nearly 10kms to Caticlan.
I ate better today than yesterday. I stopped at bike shop, sold them some oversized tires I had. I also met another biker blogger with over 200K followers: CJBPA Banga Bikeshop
My boat to Bulalacao, Mindoro leaves at 0300am (?). I can transverse Mindoro in two days and Batangas to SM Masinag Finish Line in one day. 🏁 ✝️🚴♂️🇵🇭

Caticlan Port in Panay 1taking ferry to Bulalacao, South Mindoro at 0300AM. Bulalacao, going North through Mansalay to Roxas. ✝️🚴♂️🇵🇭

I did not sleep really last night because of ferry schedule in Panay at 0300am arriving in Mindoro after 0700AM.
I decided to change clothes and started biking towards Roxas, Mindoro.
I was surprised when I saw how many mountains have to be climbed to get to Roxas. It was super hot day that felt like dry desert. I keep all my skin covered to prevent sun burn. There was long "mountain pass" in the area of Mansalay.
I visited some relatives of my wife in Roxas.
It became 4:00 p.m. already so I decided to find a place near the pier. I had another flat tire earlier today before lunch. I was very shocked because it was a brand new tire and a brand new tube from yesterday.
I forgot to mention that i met a motorcycle looper on the ferry that is on the way to Manila in order to do Northern Luzon.
I met another guy who did this loop with his wife last year. You can tell that he misses the highway stories. I stopped in Roxas and will point towards Calapan tomorrow. ✝️🚴♂️🇵🇭

Notes:
I got an early start at 0348AM, and although typical hot day, I still got great distance at 145kms. My hydration was good, and eating too. Those small spaghetti's at 7/11 are good.
I even stopped for a haircut today, because tomorrow is my LAST DAY! I got some drone shots today of Mindoro, and met too many bicyclists.
Mindoro looks like big biking island. I stopped in Calapan to pick up package I sent to me last month, did one more ATM, and went straight to Port.
They had me remove ALL my bags for x-ray machine. It's first time I removed ALL bags in over 38 days. Big job. They let everything through.
I immediately boarded the 7pm trip to Batangas. Zero waiting.
After arriving in Batangas, I found an Inn right away and checked in at 10pm.
Tomorrow, is my last 122Kms to bring me to Finish Line and home. It will be one day early. One day before my 60th birthday! Perfect! 💯 ✝️🚴♂️🇵🇭
Finish Line at SM Masinag tomorrow the 14th! I should hit 5,375kms total tomorrow. 🏁🚴♂️🇵🇭
